Job Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining the effectiveness of merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom. This role requires adaptability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic to meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Presentation and Sales Floor
    • Maintain a visually appealing store environment, including merchandise displays and visual merchandising.
    • Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked and organized, with merchandise facing forward and at the correct price.
  • Stockroom
    • Receive and process merchandise shipments, including unpacking, counting, and stocking.
    • Organize and maintain a clean and efficient stockroom, including inventory management and cycle counting.
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on sales strategies and store initiatives.
  • Asset Protection and Shrink
    • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or potential security breaches.
    • Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and prevent shrinkage.
  • Policies and Procedures
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service, sales, and inventory management.
    • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Training and Development
    • Participate in on-the-job training and coaching to develop skills and knowledge.
    • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
