Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility is to deliver batteries and offer outstanding customer service to a designated route of clients and dealers within your area. Enhance route sales through exceptional customer service, providing reliable guidance, and fostering dealer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver batteries and service each dealer on your route promptly.
  • Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with dealers.
  • Effectively manage consignment programs to boost dealer sales and retention.
  • Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the route by ensuring displays are clean and the dealer list is current.
  • Invoice all units that do not meet warranty standards.
  • Rotate batteries to uphold quality product and service expectations.
  • Handle payments on account, including cash, checks, and money orders.
  • Collect and return used or junk batteries.
  • Load and unload the delivery vehicle.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a current DOT Medical Certification and maintain a clean driving record.
  • A Class A or B Commercial Driver's License may be required based on the equipment operated.
  • Previous driving and customer service experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to effectively engage with customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Basic math skills are necessary for reading, writing, and computation.
Scope of Work:
  • Exercises independent judgment frequently when making decisions.
Work Environment:
  • Regularly required to use hands for grasping, talking, and hearing, as well as standing and walking.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move over 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Exposed to warehouse conditions, including moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
