Position Summary:
The Tax Transformation Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic leadership for treasury transformation initiatives. You will be tasked with establishing and prioritizing strategic goals, facilitating the execution of transformation projects initiated by various business units, and overseeing corporate-led initiatives that focus on quick wins and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with financial analysts globally to enhance tax processes.
- Drive improvements across Tax functions, including Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, and Transfer Pricing.
Impactful Contributions:
Your expertise in influencing stakeholders, assessing current processes, and implementing sustainable solutions will be essential. You will analyze operational efficiencies and autonomously foster alignment among diverse teams.
Daily Activities:
- Define and synchronize treasury strategic objectives with the overarching finance transformation vision at PayPal.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive treasury transformation strategy.
- Assist in formulating implementation plans that align with Tax strategy, encompassing processes, technology, and talent management, while considering the broader implications and interdependencies.
- Support treasury transformation efforts by mapping current and future state processes and ensuring integration across finance functions.
- Create business cases for Tax-related process and technology decisions, utilizing a prioritization framework to recommend budget allocations.
- Continuously identify improvement opportunities, research best practices, and provide actionable recommendations for process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- At least 10 years of experience in Tax or Finance transformation roles.
- Proven experience in a global, matrixed organization.
- Background in managing large-scale, multi-year transformation projects, including operating models, processes, business cases, and technology-driven changes.
- Strong project management skills, including scoping, planning, structured analysis, and risk management.
- Exceptional ability to coordinate efforts and collaborate across a globally distributed workforce.
