Key Responsibilities- Perform manual and automated tests on company products to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Calibrate test equipment and maintain accurate records of findings and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with the food safety team to ensure the facility maintains USDA food quality standards and facility hygiene standards.
- Conduct daily food safety activities, including pre and post operational checks, temperature checks, and thermometer calibration.
- Escalate non-compliance to the Hygiene & Quality Assurance Manager.
- Ensure quality assurance and product/food safety and regulatory compliance, adhering to local, state, and federal environmental health and food safety regulations.
- Participate in physical inspections on a weekly basis to ensure compliance with GMPs and other prerequisite programs.
- Maintain records of findings and highlights non-conformance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members in oral and written communication.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
- Customer service skills.
- Accurate record-keeping skills.
- Quality experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to comply with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards (i.e. SQF).
The work environment is a plant/office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors. However, the vast amount of work is conducted in a climate-controlled office.
