Asphalt Laborer

Sunroc Construction is seeking a skilled Asphalt Laborer to join our team in Cedar City. As a critical member of our paving team, you will play a vital role in building better communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing general labor duties on construction or paving projects
  • Visualizing and implementing the company vision and core values
  • Working with a safety mindset and striving to keep others safe
  • Operating a roller and plate compactor
  • Dumping windrows from belly and double belly trucks
  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
  • Controlling traffic passing near, in, and around work zones
  • Maintaining a clean worksite and cleaning up job site at end of shift
  • Helping prepare grades for paving
  • Helping other team members lay out jobs
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and keeping track of hand tools

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving procedures or ability to learn
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work long hours in outside conditions
  • Able to pick up and move at least 50 lbs
