Join Our Team at Sunroc Construction

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Laborer to join our team in Cedar City. As a critical member of our paving team, you will play a key role in building better communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labor duties on construction or paving projects
  • Work with a safety mindset and strive to keep others safe
  • Rake and shovel asphalt
  • Operate a roller and plate compactor
  • Dump windrows from belly and double belly trucks
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
  • Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones
  • Maintain a clean worksite and clean up job site at end of shift
  • Help prepare grades for paving
  • Help other team members lay out jobs
  • Clean, maintain, and keep track of hand tools

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with asphalt paving is a plus but not required
  • Ability to work long hours in outside conditions
  • Able to pick up and move at least 50 lbs
