The Logistics and Inventory Analyst will play a pivotal role in both Demand and Supply Planning functions. This position emphasizes analytical forecasting to develop a comprehensive demand strategy that informs supply chain operations. Responsibilities include evaluating statistical models, conducting scenario analyses, and creating forecasts that consider sales trends, inventory levels, seasonal variations, and promotional activities. Additionally, this role will focus on determining optimal inventory and safety stock levels to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders while adhering to inventory management goals.

Supply Chain Management Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, procure, and maintain precise inventory levels across various warehouse locations to meet diverse customer demands.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing facilities and other departments to align inventory with market needs.
  • Address challenges, reroute shipments, and balance inventory within the distribution network.
  • Identify potential future capacity limitations and bottlenecks within the supply chain.
  • Contribute insights to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for improved forecasting and inventory management.

Demand Forecasting Duties:

  • Evaluate statistical models in SAP IBP to determine the most accurate forecasts for different market segments.
  • Generate forecasts based on critical metrics derived from sales data and current inventory levels.
  • Analyze forecast adjustments with key stakeholders and assess their impact on financial objectives.

Reporting and Performance Analysis:

  • Enhance supply chain performance through data analysis, reporting, and management of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare reports on fill rates, forecast accuracy, and inventory coverage.
  • Compile monthly purchase order data to assist in financial reporting for treasury and accounting.
  • Share progress reports on open orders against forecasted metrics.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline – Required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement, or Demand Planning.

Certifications:

  • APICS or ISM certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or CPSM are Preferred .

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis and forecasting tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau).

Key Competencies:

  • Strong grasp of supply and demand dynamics.
  • Ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Comprehensive understanding of S&OP processes and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, determined by education, experience, and market alignment.
