As a Logistics Specialist, you will utilize your expertise in warehouse operations to maintain inventory accuracy and uphold quality standards through the safe operation of equipment. We are looking for a candidate who prioritizes safety and is committed to achieving productivity targets through meticulous documentation, equipment management, and contamination prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate all material handling equipment in accordance with company protocols and participate in annual safety training.
- Track the movement of all materials within the warehouse, including raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished products, following company policies and procedures.
- Unload incoming raw materials and load outgoing finished products as per company guidelines.
- Execute all tasks while adhering to safety and quality assurance standards to comply with relevant regulations.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to plant management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including regular cleaning and waste disposal.
- Perform all other assigned tasks related to warehouse operations.
- Work towards enhancing the quality, legality, and safety of products and the processes involved in their production. Ensure that your work area remains tidy and report any potential contamination or suspicious activities to a Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
- Capability to understand and execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Minimum of one year of forklift experience and/or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- A valid forklift operating license is mandatory.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age upon hire.
