Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze safety data, track performance metrics, and propose corrective actions to enhance safety outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and discussions to promote ongoing safety awareness.
  • Perform audits and inspections to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Stay informed on changes in safety regulations and adapt company policies accordingly.
  • Manage documentation related to environmental reporting and compliance.
  • Oversee investigations of workplace incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Support workers' compensation processes and ensure effective return-to-work strategies for injured employees.
  • Maintain and organize safety equipment and emergency response supplies throughout the facilities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve safety practices to reduce incident rates and associated costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety or environmental role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety management principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a safety-related discipline.
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Standards.

Work Environment:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in safety practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct inspections and carry necessary equipment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
