Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Laboratory Shift Supervisor to join our team in Anatomic Pathology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the Advanced Diagnostics section, which includes Immunohistochemistry, Electron Microscopy, Immunofluorescence, and Cutaneous Immunofluorescence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, including biological, chemical, hematological, immunological, immunohematological, microbiological, and serological tests.
  • Supervise direct reports and manage employee performance, providing ongoing feedback and evaluations.
  • Orient and train employees, verify competency, and identify opportunities for skill development through teaching and continuing education.
  • May serve as a key operator for implementing new equipment and procedures.
  • Independently research and assist in developing new procedures, compiling and evaluating data, and performing statistical analyses.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • Certified by one of the following accreditation agencies: MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), MT (HHS or HEW), MT (AAB), generalist or categorical if applicable.
  • Three years of medical technology experience required, with supervisory experience preferred.
