Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Creative Testing Solutions. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine high-complexity testing of biological specimens
  • Work in a team environment to ensure timely and quality test results
  • Maintain required competencies for applicable testing
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and couriers to ensure quality service
  • Perform routine testing of biological samples and notify appropriate personnel of any identified problems
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Ensure donor, patient, and employee confidentiality
  • Perform document reviews as assigned
  • Receive and manage incoming supplies and reagents
  • Assist with lot changes as directed
  • Prepare, label, verify, and perform prequalification of reagents
  • Operate equipment and monitor for errors and respond appropriately
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and identify equipment malfunctions
  • Resolve routine problems and escalate non-routine issues when appropriate
  • Participate in performance improvement teams and training programs, as required
  • Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and work areas
  • Adhere to safety guidelines
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a medical laboratory technician degree program or an associate degree in a laboratory science that meets specific science requirements
  • Three years of full-time clinical laboratory work experience and/or applicable credit hours
  • Must possess High Complexity Testing competencies required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CLIA, and other applicable regulatory and accrediting bodies
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of clinical laboratory experience
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical laboratory knowledge and competency
  • Demonstrated proficiency of complex equipment and reagent maintenance
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and experience with, proficiency survey sample testing
