Groundwork Denver is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Finance Director will be responsible for providing financial oversight and management for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial management of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational requirements.
  • Manage the accounting team, including supervising and training staff.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Associate Director to prepare annual operational budget and project budgets.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of experience managing the budget and financial processes of a non-profit organization with an annual budget of at least $2M.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with payroll systems.
  • Business acumen with non-profit mindset to work behind the scenes to passionately and tirelessly support Groundwork Denver's mission.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $80,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
  • A hybrid work model, with a minimum of 20% of scheduled work time required to be on-site.
