Job Overview

Summit Design and Engineering Services is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the transportation industry. We are seeking highly skilled Transportation Construction Inspectors to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of highway construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Perform materials sampling and testing to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement effective inspection strategies.
  • Communicate inspection results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of mathematics and ability to apply formulas.
  • Proficient in using technology and software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NCDOT Concrete certification.
  • NCDOT QMS Roadway certification.
  • NCDOT Conventional Density certification.
  • NCDOT ABC Sampling certification.
  • NCDOT Borrow Pit Sampling certification.
  • NCDOT Level II Erosion & Sediment Control certification.
