Position Overview:

  • Compensation: $45-50/hour
  • Location: Killdeer, ND
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday / 40 hours+

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector or heavy industrial construction, with prior involvement in the operations of an industrial facility or refinery
  • Preferred experience in project management
  • Background in construction procurement
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management within the oil and gas, refining sectors; solid grasp of related construction, contracting, equipment, and materials
  • Professional certifications (CPIM, CPM, etc.) are advantageous
  • Familiarity with SAP/ARIBA is a plus
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting general procurement activities to support assigned projects, including qualifying new suppliers, generating procurement bid packages, analyzing bids, negotiating pricing/terms, making recommendations, and issuing purchase orders
  • Overseeing the contracting processes for project needs; implementing effective systems to communicate contracting requirements; maintaining knowledge of contracts managed at various project stages
  • Monitoring and executing the pre-qualification process with potential vendors; ensuring that vendors' HSE, QA/QC, and DOT Drug and Alcohol information are maintained within the appropriate systems
  • Coordinating and conducting on-site job presentations; acting as the primary contact and ensuring that all technical inquiries from bidders are addressed thoroughly and disseminated appropriately
  • Performing commercial analysis and preparing bid evaluations for all submitted proposals
  • Assisting the Project Procurement Manager in contractor and supplier selection and establishing contracts for projects; collaborating closely with technical personnel in sourcing, evaluation, and contracting
  • Facilitating and processing requisitions into purchase orders and close-outs; handling invoice processing; maintaining auditable records on projects
  • Providing ongoing insights into contractors' and suppliers' progress towards meeting purchase order requirements, including completion and delivery schedules; gathering available data regarding supplier and contractor progress; monitoring and reporting progress to Project Management
  • Tracking supplier data and movements to/from the supplier; documenting progress in our client's progress management system
  • Potential travel to suppliers' locations and fabrication shops to verify progress, as well as to our client's construction and operational sites to ensure timely deliveries
  • Other supply chain responsibilities as needed
