Oncology Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Nurse Per Diem to join our team at DNA Healthcare Management LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and monitoring the therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Exhibit passion for and experience in Oncology patient care.
- Manage patients with oncologic and hematologic diagnoses.
- Administer IV and oral medications, maintain vascular access devices, and monitor chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration.
- Triages patient/family phone calls and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.
- Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- Current RN NY state license.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in an outpatient Oncology setting preferred.
- 2+ years of peripheral IV experience.
- Chemotherapy/biotherapy or OCN Certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Bilingual Hindi or Spanish highly preferred.
