Job Title: Medical Care Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at WellLife Network. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating the needs of our residents and providing high-quality nursing care directly or through supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate each resident's need for nursing care on an ongoing basis
- Provide nursing care directly or through supervision
- Coordinate medical pre-admission evaluations and screening of prospective clients
- Review and update persons with disabilities pre-admission evaluation within thirty (30) days of placement
- Review monthly the medication record of each resident for potential adverse reactions, allergies, interactions, contraindications, rationality and laboratory test modifications
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences
- Participate in the control of communicable diseases and infections through identification and implementation of appropriate protective and preventive measures
- Any additional duties as assigned by supervisor in accordance with Federal and New York State regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- Current NYS license and currently registered by NYS Department of Education
- Specialized training or one year of experience in treating and developmentally disabled
