British Art Publishing Specialist

The Yale Center for British Art seeks a highly skilled and experienced Editorial Project Manager to oversee the development of publications from start to finish. This includes managing manuscript development, planning and scheduling delivery of publication materials, and ensuring design and production requirements are addressed at an appropriate stage. The successful candidate will have a strong command of print book production and manufacturing, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary:$85,000 - $110,000 per year,
dependent on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee manuscript development from start to finish
- Manage editorial processes, including copyediting, proofreading, and design approvals
- Determine book specifications and ensure design and production requirements are addressed
- Set and oversee budgets
- Represent the YCBA at YUP meetings for museum publishing partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of book publishing experience, preferably in a manuscript editing department
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across departments and with outside partners
