Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and uphold a comprehensive compensation and rewards strategy to ensure fairness, equity, and competitiveness in our total rewards offerings.
  • Offer expert guidance on essential compensation initiatives, including performance review cycles, pay equity assessments, compensation guidelines, job classification, annual salary adjustments, and equity refresh programs.
  • Develop policy and program documentation to educate stakeholders about Checkr's compensation philosophy, job classifications, and leveling structures.
  • Lead efforts to engage in market compensation surveys, conduct annual benchmarking, and oversee market research activities.
  • Promote self-service and automation in compensation processes wherever feasible.
  • Create compensation models and perform statistical analyses to support decision-making.
  • Engage in various HR and compensation-related projects, including ad-hoc studies and analyses.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in compensation management, preferably within a rapidly expanding technology firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, including job evaluation techniques, market pricing strategies, equity distribution, bonus structures, and compensation analysis.
  • Experience managing equity programs in a pre-IPO environment is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical.
  • Experience in people management is beneficial but not mandatory.
