Operating Room Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at UP Health System - Marquette. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a 1.0 FTE schedule, working 10-hour shifts on days. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a team of experienced healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred). You will also need to obtain Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification within 30 days of hire.

Essential Functions
  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments
  • Document patient care given
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
  • Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
