Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Operating Room at UP Health System - Marquette. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Role

As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizing your expertise to ensure seamless patient transitions. You will work closely with our experienced nursing staff to deliver evidence-based care, promote patient safety, and foster a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
  • Document patient care and communicate effectively with the care team, physicians, patients, and families
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a state of Michigan RN license and an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred). You will also need to obtain Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification within 30 days of hire.
