Job Title:
Senior Specialist Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist Systems Engineer to join our team at L3Harris Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and or subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
  2. Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
  3. Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning
  4. Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
  5. Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements
  6. Perform requirement traceability
  7. Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
  8. Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
  9. Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs
  10. Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals

Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware in a multi-domain mobile airborne data-link, video, and voice systems environment
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with Aircraft communication system integration and communications ground/flight test support
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with configuration and integration of aircraft RF and satellite communications systems, or cryptographic equipment

Preferred Skills:
  • Working knowledge of LAN and VOIP protocols to include IP routing

Knowledge of Mission Systems:
EO/IR, Video, Networks, SI/EW, etc
