Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Field Trainer with a wealth of experience in arboriculture to enhance the skills of our teams. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in tree maintenance, removal, and safety protocols, and will engage directly with our crews in the field. The Field Trainer will ensure that our teams are adept in various methodologies, adhere to safety standards, and provide outstanding service to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct teams on effective pruning methods, climbing strategies, cutting techniques, and overall operational efficiency.
- Deliver practical training on the use of machinery such as bucket trucks, spider lifts, and cranes.
- Conduct frequent safety briefings and promote a strong safety culture among the teams.
- Collaborate with teams in the field, offering immediate feedback and support.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and organizational policies.
- Assist in cultivating soft skills in team leaders, including customer interaction and leadership qualities.
- Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training initiatives for both new and existing personnel.
- Travel as necessary to provide training at various locations.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in arboriculture, encompassing pruning, removal, and safety practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of effective pruning, climbing, and cutting techniques.
- Expertise in operating bucket trucks, spider lifts, and cranes.
- Strong dedication to safety and the ability to lead by example.
- ISA Arborist Certification is mandatory. Candidates with this certification will be prioritized.
- CTSP Certification is preferred but not essential. Candidates lacking this certification must be willing to obtain it within six months of employment.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with team leaders and members.
- Patience and strong interpersonal skills to effectively train and develop team members.
- Willingness to travel as required.
