Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing direct speech and language services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore or maximize each patient's functional skills.
  • Administer daily treatment sessions, ensuring that the treatment plan is age-appropriate and adjusted as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, team members, and family members to share information and achieve optimum care for patients.
  • Provide education to patients and family members on patient needs, learning readiness, and preference.
  • Identify and address learning barriers and provide instruction on the use of assistive devices.
  • Recognize when patients are ready for discharge and effectively plan discharge, including establishing home treatment plans and arranging for continued services.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
  • Speech Language Pathology (SLP) License or eligibility upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
