We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Medical Center, a leading healthcare facility known for its excellent patient care and friendly work environment.

About the Role:

  • We offer a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per year, with opportunities for growth and promotions from within after one year of employment.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions as per RC Policy/Procedure Manual.
  • Evaluate and assess patient's respiratory needs, develop an appropriate care plan in accordance with approved protocols or by consulting with and making recommendations to physicians.
  • Accurately document therapy and medications administered, including pre and post assessment of therapy, diagnostic testing results, patient interventions, and physician communications per RC Policy/Procedure manual.
  • Assure accuracy of patient charges by correct documentation, use of Supply Scan, Pyxis, and departmental supplies.
  • Transcribe physician orders accurately in the patient record.
  • Assist with training, orientation, and instruction of new employees and Respiratory Care students; provide a positive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate competence and willingness to accept assignments in all areas of the department as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
  • Current certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy.
