Position Overview:
The Beverage Server plays a crucial role in delivering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests throughout the establishment, ensuring a memorable experience for each visitor.
Shift Details:
- This role requires availability for overnight shifts from 12 AM to 8:30 AM or morning shifts from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, depending on the schedule post-training.
- Open availability is essential.
- Must be prepared to work during nights, weekends, and holidays.
- During the initial three months of employment, time off may not be guaranteed.
- This is a part-time position, totaling 32 hours per week.
- Compensation includes a base salary of $3.13 per hour plus tips for servers, and $8.00 per hour plus tips for bartenders.
*Uniform provided includes a corset top, satin mini-skort, fishnet hosiery, and knee-high boots (boots not included).
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently take guest orders, serve beverages, and process payments while adhering to cash handling protocols.
- Ensure guest satisfaction in designated areas and assist in other areas as needed.
- Comply with state liquor laws and maintain Alcohol Awareness Certification (AAC) training standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas at all times.
- Follow beverage control procedures diligently.
- Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Promote responsible gaming and alcohol service by reporting any concerns to management discreetly.
- Foster positive relationships with guests and team members.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of six months to one year of experience in food or beverage service, preferably in a high-volume setting. A certificate in Mixology is preferred.
- Must complete ongoing Alcohol Awareness Certification training.
- Basic math skills are necessary for job responsibilities, including the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to create an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to return, providing each guest with a positive and memorable experience.
- Must exhibit enthusiasm, excitement, and a professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Knowledge of food and beverage items is essential.
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions.
- Must comply with all Gaming Commission Regulations and company policies.
Work Environment:
- The casino environment is fast-paced, often crowded, and noisy. Employees may be exposed to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and constant public interaction.
- While performing job duties, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, use hands for handling, reach with arms, talk, hear, and taste or smell. The ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds is frequently required.
Native American Preference Policy:
The Tribal Council prioritizes Native Americans in all employment practices. First preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job qualifications, followed by members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes.
Employment Process:
Candidates must obtain gaming licensure by successfully completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations prior to employment. Background checks may include credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screenings.
