Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Food Quality and Safety: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Inventory and Purchasing: Coordinate the inventory, purchasing, and disbursement of all supplies with the executive chef, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
- Sanitation and Hygiene: Ensure that proper sanitation practices are followed, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all staff.
- Teamwork and Communication: Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and respect among staff members.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certifications in culinary arts or related field desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a sous chef or senior kitchen manager in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Certifications: TABC and Food Handler permits highly desirable.
