Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the technical development of a new large-scale database for a federal government national security customer. This is a high-profile, emerging topic of global importance, and we need someone with expertise in cloud infrastructure engineering and database architectures to drive this project forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a scalable and secure database architecture using cloud infrastructure engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with a team of full-stack software engineers using Agile methodologies to translate customer desired outcomes into practical technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a database that ingests and normalizes a variety of file formats, ensuring seamless data integration and analysis.
  • Apply industry best practices for infrastructure as code (IAC) and DevOps to ensure efficient and secure infrastructure management.
  • Work closely with the customer to understand their requirements and deliver a solution that meets their needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a deep understanding of IAC, DevOps, systems administration, or system engineering.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale databases, with expertise in technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Linux, Linux Jenkins, Docker, Git, or RDS for PostgreSQL.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience or more for expanded responsibilities.
  • Experience building or maintaining infrastructure for public sector organizations or large enterprise customers.
  • AWS Certifications or Systems Engineer Certification.
  • Experience working and succeeding on teams following Agile methodologies.
