Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Native Application Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Native Application Architect, you will be responsible for designing and building highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform using core developer services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS.

You will work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams to lead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of new technologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform
  • Lead technical and design discussions with IT executives
  • Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams
  • Leverage new technology paradigms such as serverless, containers, and microservices
  • Migrate monolithic applications to microservices architectures
  • Advise on implementing AWS best practices
  • Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise
  • Represent the voice for developers internally and influence our AWS Professional Services offerings and AWS product strategy for developers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more modern programming languages
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Cloud development experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
