Field Technician

Job Summary
A Field Technician at ABB is responsible for performing infrared inspections of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems. This role requires a strong safety orientation and the ability to wear personal protective equipment while on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform infrared inspections of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
- Conduct visual inspections of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
- Open live electrical equipment to expose energized connections
- Manage contracted electricians on client sites
- Cooperate with client personnel on the client site
- Advise clients on techniques to mitigate issues uncovered during the inspection
- Use proprietary software tools supplied by Seam Group
- Complete expense reports in a timely fashion
- Ability to arrive to work on time and maintain a positive attendance record
Qualifications
- A strong safety orientation and ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Ability to pass the Seam Group Level I Thermography course
- Basic computer skills in current software platforms and ability to work with mobile devices
- Ability to speak and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to behave in a professional fashion to enhance customer confidence in our company
