Electromechanical Assembler Job Description

CesiumAstro is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembler to join our team. As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and delivery of our products meet our customer's expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams to assemble electromechanical systems.
  • Work with team members to ensure production roles are clear and production goals are met.
  • Assemble, repair, and maintain SMT circuit cards and electronics final assemblies.
  • Perform cycle counts of inventory, assist in shipping and receiving functions, and other tasks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and design staff to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and adhere to strict safety guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience interpreting schematics, drawings, diagrams, and other visual aids for assembly.
  • Ability to work with team members to ensure production roles are clear.
  • 0-2 years of experience in electronic assembly operations such as SMT, AOI, Prepping Components, X-Ray, De-Panel, and Soldering.
  • Ability to regularly communicate with engineers and design staff to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colors to identify colored electrical wires.
  • Attention to detail and the maintenance of a clean workspace.
  • Ability to read parts lists and make sure all are present.
  • Familiarity with undergoing routine preventive maintenance.
  • Experience maintaining inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed.
  • Basic computer skills to complete quality control forms.
  • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow strict safety guidelines.
