Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Director of Behavioral Health Services to join our team at Volunteers of America Colorado. In this role, you will oversee programs and services with a behavioral health component, establish models of practice, sustain and expand behavioral health services, and provide direct client care when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple grant agreements and funding sources, ensuring compliance with grant commitments and expectations of program funders and VOA.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate staff members, ensuring compliance with job descriptions and established best practice standards.
  • Compose and manage annual program budgets, monitoring expenses and revising budgets as needed.
  • Conduct regular internal reviews of program components, monitoring for compliance with program requirements and best practices through client file reviews and client and community feedback.
  • Develop and implement a community design and outreach plan in collaboration with community partners, subject to review and approval by program funders.
  • Take a proactive role in remaining apprised of evolving program regulations, standards, and best practices, and effectively integrate these practices into program operations.
  • Collaborate with administrative services staff to ensure adherence to financial, personnel, and operational standards as indicated by grant agreements with program funders.
  • Aggregate and review program data to determine the effectiveness of services and progress in meeting service goals as indicated within grant agreements with program funders.
  • Utilize program data to develop strategic action plans for outreach and service delivery.
  • Ensure program staff provide accurate and timely documentation, adhere to confidentiality, record keeping, reporting, and data entry and collection standards.
  • Coordinate activities among community partners across wide geographic areas, actively collaborate with the local Continuum of Care, and maintain excellent working relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparation of regular grant applications, updates, or requests for information.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain behavioral health services across organizational divisions.
  • Collaborate with statewide field office staff to facilitate the continuity of high-quality services.
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of clinical standards of care throughout all VOA programs with a behavioral health component.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
  • Active LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent licensure in the State of Colorado.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must possess a Colorado driver's license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
  • Must possess a personal vehicle that may be used for work-related travel (reimbursement for mileage is available).
  • Must complete agency and program credentialing within 12 weeks of hire and maintain credentialing standards thereafter.
