Position Summary

Client First Technologies (CFT) is actively seeking a Navy Training Services Educator to facilitate traditional classroom training and enhance maintenance education for Fleet sailors in alignment with the Aegis Training and Readiness Center. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, organizing, and delivering training and educational programs tailored to officer-level personnel, alongside operational training on the Aegis Combat System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging training and evaluations at the officer level, requiring advanced understanding of U.S. Navy Aegis Combat Systems capabilities and limitations.
  • Analyze and review U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System engineering capabilities and operational doctrine.
  • Conceptualize and integrate the execution of doctrine to optimize the application of combat systems in dynamic operational environments.
  • Assess sailors' compliance with approved maintenance and operational procedures through dynamic evaluations.
  • Provide formal performance appraisals with constructive feedback and strategies for maintaining technical and tactical proficiency.
  • Observe and evaluate peers during practice and certification processes.
  • Instruct according to NAVEDTRA 135 requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides to support classroom instruction.
  • Conduct course reviews and curriculum updates; perform training gap analyses and provide formal recommendations for course enhancements.
  • Document training activities with detailed reports on individual performance and generate formal assessments of success.
  • Develop, test, maintain, and deliver moderately complex Aegis training programs and related materials to meet ATRC training objectives.
  • Establish and review course content and objectives.
  • Facilitate training sessions and create criteria for evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on relevant technologies as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or military experience.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with the relevant system as a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor, with a focus on teaching in a journeyman-level training environment.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Navy training setting, including skills in presentation, public speaking, curriculum maintenance, and student counseling.
  • Relevant experience aboard an Aegis ship is essential.
  • Experience as a qualified TAO, AAWC, SWC, or CSC is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in training with SCSTC/ATRC/TACTRAGRU is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to conduct training sessions while standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time may be required.

Clearance Requirements

  • Must possess a current DoD Secret clearance.
