Position Overview

We are in search of a Licensed Veterinary Technician to become a vital part of our team at Helen Woodward Animal Center. This is a full-time role that includes various shifts, accommodating weekends and holidays as necessary. A valid CA RVT License is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians during patient examinations and surgical procedures
  • Conduct radiographic imaging and ensure high diagnostic standards
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Monitor the condition of ill and hospitalized animals
  • Guide and mentor junior medical technicians
  • Maintain precise medical documentation
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of hospital areas
  • Adhere to safety protocols consistently
  • Keep your RVT license current
Required Qualifications:
  • Active CA RVT License
  • Experience in radiography, laboratory work, and veterinary medicine
  • Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and processing images
  • Understanding of animal husbandry and restraint techniques
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic hospital setting
  • Capability to follow veterinary directives independently
