Job Description

\

As a Transportation Design Specialist, you will play a key role in our Transportation Design Group, working on various projects involving roadway design, traffic engineering, and transportation planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Design and develop transportation plans, policies, and programs.\
  • Analyze traffic data and develop strategies to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion.\
  • Conduct studies and analyses to identify transportation needs and develop solutions.\
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community groups.\
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.\
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in transportation design and engineering.\
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients and internal teams on transportation design and engineering matters.\
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and presentation.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or a closely related field.\
  • Ideal candidates would have at least three years of experience in transportation design and engineering.\
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.\
  • VDOT experience preferred.\
  • EIT preferred.\

Estimated Salary Range:$70,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
