Position Overview
Florida Realtors is in search of a skilled and approachable attorney for a member-focused position that delivers prompt and precise legal guidance on real estate inquiries.

Operating from our Orlando headquarters, the Real Estate Legal Advisor plays a crucial role in providing impactful services to our members.

This position primarily involves addressing inquiries via phone and email through the Florida Realtors Legal Hotline, a significant benefit available to all members.

When members require swift legal assistance, the Legal Hotline serves as their go-to resource, where you excel in representing the association by addressing questions related to licensing laws and contracts.

Additionally, the Real Estate Legal Advisor will support the Law & Policy Department by conducting research, reviewing agreements, drafting memoranda, creating articles, delivering presentations, and collaborating with Florida Realtors committees.


Key Responsibilities
1. Respond to legal inquiries from members through the Florida Realtors Legal Hotline, utilizing authorized communication technologies.
2. Document member inquiries and responses using proprietary software, ensuring effective resolution.
3. Conduct research on real estate legal matters to provide accurate information to members.
4. Participate in regular departmental meetings to discuss current hotline trends and legal issues affecting members.
5. Prepare summaries of relevant meetings for departmental distribution.
6. Perform legal research as requested by senior counsel and compile findings into memoranda.
7. Write legal articles that address contemporary legal issues or trends.


Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Active membership in the Florida Bar, in good standing
- A minimum of one year of legal consulting experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software
- Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrated in any industry
- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, patience, and clarity in communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
