Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant Pediatrician will provide administrative and clinical support to our pediatric patients and their families. This role will involve performing various tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and assisting with clinical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient identification and maintain accurate medical records
  • Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits
  • Perform vital signs, height, and weight measurements
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and histories
  • Assist with coordinating care and communicating with healthcare providers
  • Order and perform point-of-care tests as per standing order protocol
  • Document test results and communicate with providers
  • Assist with ordering and tracking of health maintenance screenings
  • Perform essential office operations, including maintaining logs and control testing for equipment
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required
  • One year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Current ACLS or BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT preferred
