Position Overview:

The role involves a variety of responsibilities focused on the procurement and assembly of testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement: Manage requests for quotations for components, tools, and other necessary items for equipment assembly.
  • Assembly: Construct prototypes and duplicate testing equipment based on schematic drafts and assembly instructions, collaborating with documentation controllers for proper release.
  • Documentation: Generate Bills of Materials and develop comprehensive test procedures.
  • Maintenance: Oversee preventative maintenance and coordinate the calibration of testing equipment.
  • Logistics: Identify and secure appropriate packaging for shipping prototypes, including creating packing lists and coordinating with logistics personnel.
  • ECO Management: Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for equipment modifications and document changes as directed by Test Engineers.
  • Cable Management: Build and maintain cable sets for both new and legacy testing products.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in assembly and fabrication.
  • Proficient in using assembly tools, including power tools and mechanical machinery.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and databases.
