Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges in a home, community, or school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement skill acquisition programs under the direction of certified professionals, ensuring accurate data collection and graphing.
  • Participate in individualized plans, providing instructional, behavioral, and personal care support as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with behavior consultants and teachers to develop and implement behavior support plans.
  • Model behavior analytic teaching strategies for parents and school personnel, promoting the acquisition of skills and reduction of problem behaviors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and employer requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, psychology, social work, etc.) or equivalent experience working with children or adolescents.
  • Completion of Registered Behavior Technician training modules and registration with the BACB within 6 months of hire.
  • One year of experience with interventions to address maladaptive behaviors.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis and competency in fundamental procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years' experience working with individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
  • High school degree in a related field and three years' experience working with individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
