About the Role

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a certified or licensed staff member to implement skill acquisition programs and provide support to clients.
  • Collect data and graph results on all skill acquisition programs.
  • Assist in the completion of assessments, such as VB-MAPP and ABLLS.
  • Implement strategies to prevent and provide consequences to the occurrence of maladaptive behavior.
  • Facilitate the inclusion of students in general education activities.
  • Maintain professional and informative communication with the behavior consultant, school personnel, and family members.
  • Provide behavior management support and implement components of behavior support plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, psychology, social work, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience with interventions to address maladaptive behaviors.
  • Completion of the Registered Behavior Technician training modules and registration with the BACB within 6 months of hire.
  • Additional state-specific requirements (e.g., 60 college credit hours in PA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Attention to detail and good organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with periodic supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Ability to travel and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of 25 pounds.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, climbing of stairs, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
