Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Classroom Aide to provide behavioral support services in a school setting. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned students, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist students with daily activities, including classroom participation, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
  • Manage assault/difficult behavior and implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety.
  • Encourage independence and implement behavioral plans to promote positive outcomes.
  • Document care and maintain accurate records, adhering to Amergis policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, providing timely updates and incident reports as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred.
  • Full command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Current Health Certificate, CPR card, and TB Skin test or Chest X-ray required.
  • Successful completion of Amergis testing process.
