We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing non-invasive peripheral vascular testing and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform all phases of non-invasive peripheral vascular testing, including ultrasound imagers, treadmill, segmental limb pressure, and pulse volume recordings.
- Operate all vascular equipment and differentiate normal from abnormal pathology.
- Review patient charts to verify physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical history.
- Recognize characteristic changes related to age spans and chronic disease.
- Establish which procedures are appropriate for diagnosis and which are contraindicated for specific symptoms and test values.
- Differentiate user-created artifact from patient pathology.
- Explain tests to patients and answer their questions while maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Evaluate studies for technical quality and utilize all necessary accessories to perform procedures.
- Properly identify films and participate in the Quality Assurance Program.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program in ultrasound or other allied health profession.
- RVT registered or RVS credential.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, and pushing of heavy equipment. Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, twist, handle, stoop, and bend. Ability to assist patients to and from stretchers.
