About the Role:
The Sacramento office is seeking a Senior Project Architect to oversee complex architectural projects. This role involves leading a team of architects in the preparation and coordination of detailed construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct a team to produce technical documents for intricate projects.
2. Prepare and finalize comprehensive construction document packages.
3. Manage daily construction administration tasks, ensuring effective communication with contractors, clients, and consultants to keep projects on track.
4. Mentor junior staff, providing guidance and oversight on their work.
5. Develop and implement project work plans and staffing strategies.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
7. Engage in recruitment and performance evaluation of team members.
8. Collaborate with owners and user groups to identify program and planning needs.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in architecture.
- LEED AP certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering systems and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Strong communication skills to foster client relationships and trust.
- Excellent mentoring abilities along with strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
- High proficiency in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience in leading architectural teams and managing projects.
- A solid understanding of building codes and construction practices.
