About the Role
  • Provide strategic direction, vision, and accountability for the Engineered Solutions Inside Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
  • Lead complex engineering projects and drive business growth through people management, sales, and supply chain expertise.
  • Develop and implement departmental strategies, including policy, employee development and retention, pre-sales project development, post-sales execution, profit retention, process improvement, and departmental growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise for Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
  • Develop, implement, and drive the division's strategic plan.
  • Monitor and manage the department to drive achievement of annual department goals and strategies.
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are developed and followed to provide customers quality solutions on time and on budget.
  • Drive adherence to organization policies and procedures.
  • Manage Engineered Solutions resources to ensure that the department is responsive to customer needs.
  • Drive departmental continuous improvement and 'best practices' initiatives.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise to internal and external customers, providing problem-solving and decision-making on technical projects.
  • Assist in the conception and design of static and automated solutions.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current product and service offerings throughout the market.
  • Work in synergy and alignment with the outside sales team to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Establish inside sales objectives by developing annual sales budgets for regions and territories.
  • Develop relationships with customer contacts to strengthen customer partnership.
  • Develop and maintain supplier and vendor relationships that are aligned with the best interests of Raymond Storage Concepts, Inc. and its Customers.
  • Provide conflict resolution for customer and internal relations.
  • Assist as a liaison within the company to ensure the achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Partner across various company divisions and establish effective relationships for optimal associate, vendor, and customer experience.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of industry experience with a proven track record in people management, including leading multiple teams in a supply chain/logistics, distribution, and/or intralogistics environment.
  • Proven sales background is preferred.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, a commitment to customer satisfaction, a team mentality, as well as strong interpersonal skills and personal accountability.
  • Experience leading complex engineering projects and a track record of driving business growth is a must.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Access and Excel, as well as AutoCAD products is preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial management, engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Master of Business Administration is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License and Six Sigma certification are both a plus.
