Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electronic technician to join our team. As an Advanced Electronic Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs, calibrations, and modifications to fire alarm systems and other electronic systems. You will also be required to work with other craft personnel, cover supervisory absences, and perform other craft skills as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize superior technician skills to perform complex repairs, inspections, and certifications of fire alarm systems and other electronic systems.
- Read, interpret, and work with advanced level circuit schematics and vendor literature in new installations and the diagnosing and repair of electronic components.
- Troubleshoot and repair miscellaneous alarm and electronic systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department, including on-call and emergency work when needed.
- Three years of experience in the maintenance or repair of mechanical or electronic office equipment, precision machinery, or electronic and electrical systems.
- Training in a vocational-technical school or military school will substitute for a maximum of two years of the required experience.
- College training with at least six semester hours per year in electronics or computer science will substitute for the experience.
- CompTIA A+ Certification will substitute for one year of the required experience.
