Job Summary:
Laredo Medical Center's Mother/Baby unit is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work in our fast-paced postpartum department. As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a secure, 34-bed unit and provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, and perform various patient tests and administer medications as needed.
- Promote patients' independence by teaching them and their families about self-care skills, medications, and condition management.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Internship or 3 months experience as an RN.
- Licensed as a R.N. by the Texas State Board of Registered Nurse Examiners.
- Preferred: Postpartum experience.
- BLS within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS, NRP, Stable, Basic fetal monitoring certifications may be completed within the first 90 days of hire.
- Letter of Recommendation preferred for applicants with less than 1 year of applicable experience in nursing.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
