Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of critically ill newborns? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Laredo Medical Center.

About the Role:

As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to premature and critically ill newborns. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Internship or 3 months experience as an RN.
  • Licensed as a R.N. by the Texas State Board of Registered Nurse Examiners.
  • CPR, NRP, and STABLE required.
  • Preferred: NICU/Pedi experience as an RN, LPN, or Nurse Tech.
