Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop precise and comprehensive specifications that address intricate global asset management challenges by analyzing data streams, defining financial data transformations, and visualizing user-centric information.
  • Establish effective communication channels with internal stakeholders to gather, articulate, and finalize essential business requirements.
  • Operate within an Agile framework, ensuring that epic and story deliverables are well-defined and completed punctually, with test plans reviewed and artifacts approved.
  • Design and construct data flows and conceptual data models based on business requirements utilizing ERDs, XML schemas, and object-oriented design methodologies.
  • Examine complex data relationships using SQL, Excel, MS Access, VBA, Perl, Python, or Java.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams and BSAs to thoroughly scope and articulate business requirements, addressing the needs of a global organization.
  • Partner with user experience and design teams to develop conceptual models for user interfaces.
  • Work alongside quality control teams to deliver fully qualified specifications and test plans.
  • Assist development teams with requirements and specifications to outline technical implementation strategies, specifications, and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with State Street Global Advisors' information security standards in all work.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate functional requirements and technical solutions both in writing and verbally to business managers and developers.
  • Experience in creating workflows, process flows, data flows, and conceptual data models within the financial services sector.
  • Understanding of technical system architectures.
  • Proficient in creating clear and concise presentations and documentation using MS Office and Visio.
  • Solid grasp of financial industry concepts.
  • Extensive experience with development, database concepts, web applications, and information management systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in SQL and data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, database design principles, J2EE development environments, and application/web server technologies.
  • Ability to work with XML and conceptualize XML design patterns/schema.
  • Capability to work with object-oriented and business object models, creating OO and BO design patterns.

Education:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree with 2+ years or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
  • Strong team-oriented work ethic and collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and with external partners.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • Able to thrive in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
