Industrial Equipment Technician

Compensation Range: $25 - $30/hour based on experience

Work Schedule: 6pm to 2:30am

As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment within commercial and industrial settings. Your role will involve a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring optimal performance and safety of all equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Immediately report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or unsafe practices.
  • Take action to halt any unsafe activities and notify a supervisor without delay.
  • Adhere to all safety signage and lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Maintain situational awareness to ensure personal safety while working.
  • Promptly report any accidents or injuries to management.
  • Operate only machinery for which you have received proper training.
  • Follow the company dress code and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Engage in stretching exercises before commencing work to prevent injuries.
  • Dismantle machinery as needed, replacing defective components and motors.
  • Perform cleaning and lubrication of machine parts, including shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings, and replace or repair belts as necessary.
  • Remove dust, dirt, grease, and waste from machinery to maintain cleanliness.
  • Utilize welding equipment to repair or join metal components.
  • Keep the work area, tools, and equipment organized and clean, and perform additional routine tasks as required.
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
