Mental Health Specialist for Veterans

About MRG Exams
MRG Exams is a leading provider of independent medical exams for workers' compensation, disability, and the veterans administration. Founded in 1998, we pride ourselves on serving the veteran community.
The Role
We are seeking a licensed psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically and conduct comprehensive assessments in person with each veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through our secure web portal. The licensed psychologist does not make disability determinations; rather, they provide findings that support the U.S. Veterans Administration's decision-making process.
Schedule and Requirements
This is an in-person position requiring approximately 2-3 days of work per week (8 am-5 pm). To be considered, you must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program, maintain active and unrestricted psychology licensure, and have relevant experience in assessment roles.
Compensation and Benefits
As an independent contractor, you will receive competitive compensation based on your expertise and experience. Malpractice insurance is covered by MRG, and health insurance options are available. We estimate the annual salary for this role to be around $85,000-$110,000, depending on location and qualifications.
