Role Overview:

Under general oversight, the individual will be tasked with developing instructional materials and standardized course outlines for Esthetics programs. The role involves evaluating student performance and delivering classroom education that aligns with current industry standards. The instructor will assess educational outcomes and must possess proficient computer and communication abilities.

Availability Requirements:

Selected candidates should be prepared to work during morning or evening hours, Monday through Thursday.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certification in Esthetics from an accredited post-secondary institution or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience within the last seven years.
  • Current Esthetician License issued by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Esthetician Instructor License from the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers.
  • Master Cosmetologist License from the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers.
  • Prior teaching experience in Esthetics.
  • Experience in postsecondary education.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation is provided per contact hour.
  • All adjunct roles are part-time and temporary, with hours contingent on student enrollment.
  • No benefits or guarantee of full-time employment are provided.

Application Instructions:

To be considered for the Adjunct Pool, applicants must submit transcripts, resumes, and relevant certifications. A new application is required each academic year. All courses are conducted in-person, available Monday through Thursday during morning and evening hours.

Employment Policy: The institution maintains a non-discriminatory hiring policy, and all applicants will be evaluated fairly. Selected candidates may be invited for an interview. Employment approval is contingent upon performance and funding.

Minimum qualifications are determined by the teaching discipline and accreditation compliance.
